Ready to work: opportunities for young learners

BTG and Colleges works actively with schools in Bedfordshire in a variety of projects and programmes. Many of our learners join our full-time or part-time programmes directly from school.

Students still attending school can participate in our Vocational programmes. This is an excellent opportunity to “taste training programmes” in a choice of areas, for example Construction and Build Environment, Motor Vehicle, Engineering and ICT. Programmes lead to certification and can lead to places on full-time programmes when leaving school.

These programmes provides routes to full-time employment through apprenticeships or guaranteed places on full-time training programmes. Programmes vary from Pre-NEET, re-engagement training, level 1 qualifications to level 2 pre-apprenticeship and diplomas provision.
